Rock Texture - Trevone, Near Padstow, North Cornwall
This rock close-up was taken at Trevone. I liked the arrangement of the barnacles and the the placement of the limpets, though I could have done with having three, rather than the four you see here. I find taking close-ups like this to be endlessly fascinating and its amazing what you can find within a relatively small area. Anyway I hope you like it.
Crazy Graffiti - Camel Trail, Bodmin, North Cornwall (David Carvey)
Is graffiti art ? Well I wouldn’t put this particular example in that category because there has been no discernible creative input used in its creation, it’s just a collection of words. I take it as a comment on the writers world view, and some might say he/she is not wrong, but that’s a topic for another debate. So when is graffiti art – some might say never – it’s just plain vandalism, but have a look at these examples and I think you would agree that they have considerable artistic merit. What if you woke up next morning and Banksy had painted your wall with a subversive message, would you want to keep it or have it painted over immediately – you decide !
