A Circular Walk from Lantic Bay to Polruan and Pont, S.E. Cornwall
This week's photos are from a circular walk I took starting from Lantic Bay to Polruan then walking inland alongside Pont Pill and back up to Lantic Bay, a distance of about 4 miles. This is a marvelous walk, not too long with just a few inclines to negotiate but nothing too onerous. The scenery is varied and includes coastal views, views of Fowey and the Fowey River and concluding with a woodland walk. Starting from the National Trust Car Park at Pencarrow Head you walk down to Lantic Bay to jon the coastal path heading west until you come to Polruan. Then follow the Hall Walk along Pont Pool to Pont Quay, finally walking up to Lanteglos Church and your car. This was one of the few sunny days we have had in the last couple of weeks, but with enough cloud to make the sky interesting. I had a really enjoyable walk and I thoroughly recommend you try it. Next week another circular walk, this time on the north coast.
